Overview
Correct installation of Right Weigh systems is critical for Bluetooth reliability, accurate weight data, faster certification, and compliance.
Please refer all installation questions to Right Weigh and their installation documentation.
Before You Begin
Before attempting the Install Verification Checklist, ensure:
- V-DAQ TAG has been installed as per the Installation Guide.
- V-DAQ TAG Serial Number is available.
- installed Right Weigh Gauges as per the instructions set out in the Right Weigh Installation Guide.
- Right Weigh Gauges are set to Average Steer.
- Right Weigh Gauges are correctly powered.
- Complaince Records (VIN, Rego and Gauge Serials) are available.
- Calibration requirements are understood.
Step 1 – Customer Details
Input Details: First Name, Last Name, Company Name and Email
Step 2 – Location
Provide photographic evidence that Right Weigh Gauges are installed as per the Right Weigh Gauge Installation Guide.
At a minimum gauges must be:
Forward & Outside: Located as far forward and to the outside as possible.
Drivers' Side: Installed on the right-hand side of the vehicle (drivers' side).
Not Covered: Must not be shrouded or obstructed by metal objects (e.g. toolboxes, air tanks, or custom metal enclosures).
Step 3 – Powering
Verify that Right Weigh Gauges have been powered correctly.
Step 4 – Set Average Steer (S-AVG)
Set Estimated Steer (S-AVG) on Right Weight Gauges.
Step 5 – Verify TAG Install & Serial
Provide photographic evidence that the V-DAQ TAG has been installed correctly.
Input the Serial Number of V-DAQ TAG
Step 6 – Compliance Records
Upload clear photos of the following information for each asset.
- VIN
- Registration
- Right Weigh Serial Number
Step 7 – Calibration
Acknowledge Calibration Requirements
Step 8 – Authorisation
What's next?
V-DAQ will review your checklist against Right Weigh installation requirements.
If it fails: You are responsible for fixing any issues before certification can continue.
If it passes: V-DAQ will verify the gauge-to-TAG connection before certification.
